Speaker Bio
Dr. Bruce Katz is Clinical Professor of Dermatology at The Mount Sinai School of Medicine, Director of the Cosmetic Surgery & Laser Clinic at Mount Sinai Medial Center, and Director of the Juva Skin & Laser Center in New York.
Dr. Katz, who has been named repeatedly by New York Magazine as one of the best doctors in New York, received his medical training at McGill University Faculty of Medicine in Montreal, Canada. He completed his post-graduate training at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center, where he was Chief Resident in Dermatology.
A frequent guest on national and international news shows, including The View, 20/20, Good Morning America and CNN, Dr. Katz is a leading innovator of advanced laser technology, smart and power liposuction, and skin rejuvenation techniques. He has published extensively in leading medical and scientific journals and lectures regularly at medical symposia in the United States and abroad.
A national spokesman for the Skin Cancer Foundation, Dr. Katz holds leadership positions in many local, state and national professional organizations. He is a Fellow in the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and the American Society for Laser Medicine & Surgery. He is Past President of the Dermatologic Society of Greater New York.

This session will review the latest advances in liposuction including laser llpolysis. The newest technologies in this field will be described, as well as studies showing the benefits of these devices. Practical aspects of lipo-sculpture will also be discussed.

A Volumetric Approach To Facial Sculpture Room: 511 ~ 4:30PM - 6:00PM (Saturday, February 21, 2009)
Today’s most popular approach to facial rejuvenation involves restoration of tissue volume rather than purely skin tightening. This session will review the latest advances in facial sculpting with the volumetric approach including the use of lasers, fillers, and Botulinum Toxin. The benefits of different lasers and fillers will be described and practical pointers given.

Fractional Resurfacing: Fractured Hopes or the Real Deal? Room: 511 ~ 1:00PM - 2:00PM (Sunday, February 22, 2009)
Fractional resurfacing is the newest technology for skin rejuvenation. The history of fractional resurfacing will be discussed, and the various developments including, non-ablative and ablative fractional resurfacing will be reviewed. Recent studies using these technologies will be described and the benefits of fractional lasers critically evaluated.

A Dual Mode Radiofrequency Device For Skin Tightening & Cellulite Room: 511 ~ 3:30PM - 4:30PM (Sunday, February 22, 2009)
Skin laxity and cellulite are common problems for which there has been little available in terms of therapy. This session will review the latest dual mode radiofrequency device incorporating two forms of radio frequency to improve cellulite and tighten skin. Proper device parameters will be detailed and clinical protocols discussed.
